Yesterday, Callie turned 2! She had a surprise birthday party in Utah,
before we moved, with the Allphin side of the family. We had a barbeque and then we played. Little did we know that day that it was the last time the Allphin family would all be together (minus Kyal, who's on his mission) before we moved to Texas.
We started the day of Callie's birthday with the Black family tradition of a pancake breakfast. Previous to this picture being taken, there was a lit candle in the pancakes that she blew out before I could even get a picture. After this picture, her pancakes were covered in banana and cool whip (I haven't yet introduced her to syrup--too messy).
That evening we had a spaghetti dinner (one of her favorites), cupcakes and ice cream, and then we took the rest of the evening to open her presents and play with them. She has been busy playing with her new toys ever since.

I can't believe you're two years old already! Here are some things that I love about you:

your sweet smile
the way you say "yep" and "semmen" (seven)
how talkative you are
how gentle and kind you are to your new baby sister
the way you take such good care of your own babies
how much you adore your daddy
the look in your eyes when I sing to you
your fun, teasing nature
You're such a sweet girl and you have brought so much joy to our family. I love you!
